The Disappeared is a special story for me. I brought it with me as I moved abroad, that idea and haunting thought: what if you found out that your brother – who was presumed dead – was found to be alive but in danger, somewhere in London.
This became a screenplay, and eventually adapted into a novel, my first.
The novel is a dark and suspenseful crime-thriller, and a personal journey. It is about finding the people you love, about finding trust in others. And perhaps it is even more about learning to trust yourself, those core and the instincts within you, the part of yourself that knows what is right. Once found, it is about letting things go and moving on.
I hope you’ll enjoy the first half of part one, from what I see as a dark and powerful novel wanting to be both a graphic novel and a movie.
